Gillette Hockey Association

Welcome to the Gillette Hockey Association (GHA), home of the Gillette Grizzlies. GHA is an amateur, non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt youth hockey organization based in Gillette, Wyoming.  The Gillette Grizzlies youth hockey program offers a fun, safe opportunity for Gillette youth to learn the game of hockey.

Goalie Clinic Time Change

The Goalie Clinic this week has been moved to Thursday December 9 at 5:15 pm.  There will not be goalie clinic Tuesday December 7th.

New GHA Coach-in-Chief Appointed

Trevers Chapman has resigned the Coach-in-Chief position in order to make himself available as the Junior Varsity Coach.  George Stilson has been appointed to fill the vacancy as Coach-in-Chief for the remainder of the current term.  The GHA would like to thank Trevers for his service on the board and his dedication to our kids and hockey in Gillette.  

SafeSport Coordinator Position

Happy Sprinter, Everyone! Nothing like a late-season snowfall to make you appreciate living in Wyoming, right?

We would like to thank David Hardesty for being our SafeSport Coordinator for the past two years. David did a great job in this role and his dedication and insight will be missed in that role.

That being said, we are looking for nominations for our next SafeSport Coordinator. If you or someone you know would be a great SafeSport Coordinator, send an email to Secretary Geno Palazzari.

Here is a brief description of the role:

  • Complete SafeSport training.
  • Recruit other adults to complete Safesport training so they can help in and around the rink and in locker rooms.
  • Receive telephone calls, texts and emails from local GHA hockey members in regards to possible SafeSport violations.
  • Make recommendations to the GHA Board.
  • Investigate and report SafeSport incidences to GHA board, possibly report to state coordinator, possibly report to SafeSport directly.
  • Keep updated list of SafeSport certified off-ice volunteers.
  • Encourage and support the values, principles and philosophies of SafeSport.
